Our schools and workshops deliver a bilateral / interdisciplinary research network and promotion of young researchers, while developing innovative solutions to problems in the Middle East, intercultural competences, and mobility support for students and young researchers with a special focus on women in science.

   

The Egyptian-German Center for International Development is responsible for hosting annual summer schools, research symposiums and workshops.

Annual Summer School “Politics & Economics of Mediterranean Development’’

The Summer School will take place within the first week of September 2019 and 2020 in Alexandria with 5 professors and researchers from Germany/Europe and Egypt plus 20 students from Germany/Europe and Egypt.

Annual Spring and Winter School “Topics in the Eco-nomics & Politics of Egypt & the Middle East”.

The Spring School will take place within the first week of April 2019 in Luxor and February 2020 in Suez with 5 professors and researchers from Germany/Europe and Egypt plus 20 students from Germany/Europe and Egypt.

Research Workshop

The Workshop will take place for three days within the auspices of the School of Business &  Economics at Freie Universität Berlin. We expect guests from Egypt and Germany (4 professors and researchers from each par-ticipating side)

Research Symposium

The Symposium will take place for three days within the auspices of the Resource Center “Euro-Mediterranean Development”, expected number of guests from Egypt and Germany are 4 professors and researchers from each participating side.
